Sound options in your menubar!

One of the thing that bothers me most on a Mac Pro is to choose between the external and the internal speakers, you always have to go to System Preferences. I thought it wouldn't be an issue as I can always leave the output to the external speakers but when you want to use headphones, it doesn't switch automatically. This tip is also very useful for inputs when podcasting or recording audio. It basically brings all the input and output options to the menubar. It is a free download here on MacUpdate. It is really a timesaver for podcasting or if you own a Mac Pro.

This takes a lot of hassle out of one of those things that should be simple.

I found this little app when I downloaded Audio Hijack Pro from Rogue Amoeba and have been pleased with it. I also highly recommend the aforementioned Audio Hijack for very good recording of all audio sources on your machine.
