Changing tab in Firefox!
A great tip submitted by both Bryan Chan and Nathan Palin: changing tab in Firefox! I had already posted about changing tab in Safari, but it didn't work in Firefox. The way to do it in Firefox is with "Command-1" or "Command-2", the number corresponding to the number of the tab you want. The same thing in Safari actually brings up the bookmarks in your bookmark bar. You can also change tab in Camino with "Command-Option-Left arrow" or "Command-Option-Right arrow". By the way, Camino is another browser made by Mozilla but it's exclusively for Mac. I really like the style that matches the Apple look and I find it faster than Firefox! To just cycle through tabs, or to get to tabs that have an index greater than 9, you can use ctrl+page up/down. Or, on a laptop, ctrl+fn+up/down arrows
i use command-option-arrow to switch tabs in firefox, and i find that really convienient. but i guess using the numbers is good for working with alot of tabs, so great tip!
Don't forget, as this may need to be an added article, that to close certain tabs, just navigate to the applicable tab, then ⌘+W, and you close it, without having to move your mouse.

Not a big one of course, but for when I was an Mac n00b, this made me feel a bit better. lol
There should really be a seperate tip on Camino! I'm liking it a lot, but I feel that there's plenty to be dug out of it.

you can even re-arrange the tabs in firefox...
just drag them to the place you're willing to place them...
that way, you can manage which tab you want to place as "command-2" tab...

You can also scroll through Firefox tabs with ctrl+tab for "forward" scrolling and crtl+shift+tab for "reverse" scrolling. This was the option to scroll through tabs from Windows and it's the one I've been using.
I just switched from firefox to camino. Firefox kept crashing on me and was getting annoying. So far I love camino and would love for some more tips for it! Great tip, thanks guys!

Don't know if this is common knowledge.. But I just got my first iMac at work yesterday.
My tip is; if you wan't to switch between open firefox windows, you use ⌘+< or ⌘+>

btw...cool about cntrl tab switching hrough firefox and adding shift making it go backwards...the same thing happens when you add shift to "Cmd+Tab" to shuffle thourgh apps..."Cmd+Shift+Tab" goes backward through apps. just thought it was a neat discovery ;)
To diligence109's tip, you can actually use cmd+tab to switch forward app, and holding the cmd button, press ` key to go backward. It beats using cmd+shift+tab.
Adding >shift< turns most commands around. Just try going forward through the fields of a form with >tab< you can move the cursor in the opposite direction with >shift+tab<. Another example is >cmd+z< for undo and >shift+cmd+z< for redo...
If you are using a MacBook Pro or something with side scrolling you can also move your mouse over any tab and side scroll (two fingers left or right) and it will rotate tabs.
Is there any way to use Camino without having the disk image on my desktop?
