The new Develop menu in Safari!

The Safari 3.1 update changes the Debug menu.  It is now called the Develop menu and it has been completely redesigned.  I don't know if it is now on by default because it was already enabled on all my Macs.  You can most likely use the same command used previously for Debug (paste defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 1 in Terminal when Safari is closed). What I really like about the new menu is that it now really looks like a menu every one can use. A new feature that I particularly like is the "Open Page With". I find it very really useful when I end up on a page that doesn't work well with Safari, it lets me choose to load the current page in any other web browser installed on my Mac. Here is the result:

The beauty of this function is that highlighting the address bar is not needed, as oppose to the conventional way using Services menu after highlighting the address, then "Open URL in".

Interestingly enough, you don't need a terminal command to open it. Simply go to the advanced tab of the safari prefs. Then, check the box at the bottom labeled, "Show Develop menu in menu bar"

Another new feature is "Network Timeline" - this feature allows you to see how long each script, image and whatever takes to load on the page! This is great for speed testing/optimizing your website. The new console is very good in general actually. Thanks Apple!
