Drag and drop text on the Mail icon!

If you want to copy and paste text and send it in an email, there is an easier way. It is by using the Mail dock icon. You just have to drag and drop the text onto the Mail icon. It will automatically create a new email with the text you selected in the body of the email.

You can also drag and drop to the desk top and it will save it as a text file.

I just tried dragging text from here onto the mail icon, it opened mail to my inbox but I have no idea where the text ended up.

Yeah it works, I didn't hover over the icon long enough the first time, just tried text from a word doc. and it worked, same with some text from here in Safari.
Thank you I will make so much use of this tip.
