The "Reset Safari" in Firefox!
If you are following me on Twitter, you'll know that I am switching to Firefox as my primary browser and will keep using Safari as a secondary browser. One feature in particular that I really liked in Safari is "Reset Safari", because it doesn't reset everything, it lets me uncheck things that I don't want to reset. A similar feature is present in Firefox. It is in the Preferences, in the Privacy tab. The feature is "Clear Now..." for the Private Data. Just like Safari, it will let you choose what you want to reset.

I've been a fan of Firefox for the last 18 months, having been disappointed with Safari when I got my first Apple, (iMac Intel 17"), in April, 2006.
I use Opera as my secondary browser now.
Can't wait to get Firefox 3.1, (heard the beta version is still a bit quirky, so didn't download it).
I believe Firefox will be charging for 3.1 - - is this correct?
Firefox won't be charging for any version, ever. If they did, since they are open source, any two-bit programmer would just rebrand it (Firebox? FoxFire?) and release it for free - all perfectly legal, legitimate, and ethical.
It's software made by the people, for the people.
I switched from Safari to Firefox 3 when it came out, works great, I love all the new features in it. I really hated firefox 2, it just sucked bad...
In the original iterations of Safari I would have agreed with you, but I've found Safari has improved enough to be reinstated as my primary browser, as it's not the slug it once was. Sure I still have both loaded and use them both for different reasons, but lately I've preferred Safari. I find it launches faster and has less memory leakage, I use private browsing and the snapback feature a lot, and the web clippings to dashboard I find very useful. So if you were disenchanted with safari a year ago, you might want to have another look at it.
I tried Firefox and finally got tired of it hanging up or freezing everytime I was on Yahoo. Safari works fine for me and I have never had a problem with it.
If you want to there is a shortcut to do this.
Shift-command-delete.

Firefox 3 is nice, they did a good job updating it, although I have been using Safari as my main browser, it does seem faster then firefox.
