New visualizer in iTunes!

One thing that was pretty much unannounced in today's keynote is the new visualizer in iTunes. The rumors had talked about it, but that's pretty much it. If you want to check it out, it is the default visualizer in the new iTunes 8. iTunes 8 is not yet available through Software Update, but you can download it from Apple.com. Just going to "View", "Show Visualizer" will launch the new visualizer. It is simply called "iTunes Visualizer". Here is a screenshot:

Very cool. It's now available through software update, there's a small update to Quicktime as well. Trying out the Genius feature later. It's got a lot of information to gather...

Really really cool! Thanks!

Just a curiosity. I've been checking your blog almost everyday for something like an year now. How many hits do you get a day?

I really like the new visualizer and would truly like to see it running on both of my 30" monitors and also run it as a screen saver.

An interesting note is that if I have iTunes living in its shrunken mini-control state on my left screen and activate visualizer, it runs on that screen. If I have the mini-controller (or iTunes on steroids, too) on my right monitor, it runs on that one. Whichever monitor is not running visualizer, turns black.

Any hints on dual monitor sensory blasting or being able to use the un-visualized (if there is such a word) monitor as a regular monitor - as in still being able to access my system like a "normal" screen?

Thanks.
